Avy Energy was founded in August 2021 by April Young, with the incredible support of her family. What began as a a deep curiosity about understanding energy, embodiment, and self-trust has grown into a living practice and community space rooted in sovereignty, consent, and grounded connection.
At its heart, Avy Energy exists to offer supportive spaces where people can reconnect with themselves. Without pressure, hierarchy, or the expectation to be anything other than who they are. Okay, so we may encourage you to amplify your magic once you remember what that is.
Why Avy Energy Exists
In a world where many healing and spiritual spaces unintentionally take power away from the individual,
Avy Energy was created as a return point to a place where your inner knowing leads.
This work grew from witnessing how often people are told:
- what their energy means
- how they should heal
- or who they need to become
Avy Energy offers something different.
Here, healing is not something done to you.
It’s something you participate in, at your own pace, & in your own way.
The intention is simple but profound:
to create spaces that support self-trust, nervous system safety, and embodied presence, rather than dependency or performance.
How We Work
Avy Energy is built on facilitation, not fixing.
April holds space, offers reflection, perspective challenging queries, and supports your awareness. She doesn’t override your intuition or claim authority over your process. The work is consent-led, client-paced, and always grounded in the body & respectful of your lived experience and your personal sovereignty.
There’s no pressure to perform, share, or believe anything in particular. You’re invited in. Always. (Maybe challenged tho 😉)
What Makes Avy Energy Different

This is a space for people who:
are curious about energy without losing their grounding
want spiritual exploration without bypassing real life

You won’t find rigid dogma or one-size-fits-all answers here.
Instead, you’ll find room to listen to yourself, supported by presence, clarity, and embodied guidance.

About April
April Young is the founder and facilitator behind Avy Energy.
Her path here wasn’t linear. She used to be the one who bent too far, gave too much, and disappeared in the noise of others. She realized she was living in a near-constant state of disconnection until she finally turned inward. She came to this work trying to save everyone else, and in the process, found her way back to herself.
That experience is the foundation of everything at Avy Energy.
She works with Usui Reiki and Antojai Quantum Reiki, alongside other tools gathered through years of lived practice and continued study. But more than any modality, April approaches this work as a human first; believing that true healing spaces are built on trust rather than authority, curiosity rather than certainty, and sovereignty rather than dependence.
As a parent, partner, and community member based in Grande Prairie, Alberta, she’s committed to spaces that are grounded, accessible, and respectful of real life.
She doesn’t hold keys for others. She walks alongside.
Who This Space Is For
Avy Energy is for people who:
are curious about their inner world
want to explore energy in a grounded way
value personal responsibility and self-awareness
are open to reflection rather than instruction
You do not need prior experience with energy work.
You do not need to have the “right words.”
This may not be the right fit if you’re looking for:
quick fixes
someone to tell you what to do
constant reassurance or external validation
